Going to break the trend here... i want to like your car as it does look very very very lush but i still find myself hating the new new minis :( regardless of whats done to them.
Never seen another graphic like your roof one so very original and looks good... Be much better if it was all a red and black sort of theme than blue and black though  ;)
Interior looks a bit dull though, not doing anything inside it?

Love it - agree wi Sweeney to an extent - not been keen on R56's, but yours takes the biscuit!! Beautiful. Might even get one instead of finding a late late late R53 when trading in time comes!!
Loving the decal - must find Carlo's number on internet - want something original on mine too - looks fab-eee-dooo mate!!!

Thanks again to all the nice positive comments about the car. After a wee road trip to MINI Meats tonight, it's proving to be a cracker on the road too.:D
Sweeney. Appreciate you point of view and top marks for being brave enough to express your true feelings. At the end of the day, it's all down to what you like etc. But, red and black? RED & BLACK? Well, then it would just look like yours. What would be the point in that?;)
As for the interior. The photo's I took don't do it justice. It is pretty dark in there, but that's exactly how we wanted it.:D We think the piano black and chrome work together perfectly and the anthracite headlining darkens the whole inside down. Lovely! At the end of the day, it's a fairly stark contrast to our previous MINI, which again, is what we were looking for.;) ;)

Would be every point in it ;), beauty is in the eye of the beholder i always say and it's your pride and joy so regardless of what anyone says or does, yours is perfect until you find something that'd compliment it further :p.
Anthracite does darken interior down nicely aye but i just thought a wee bit of blue wouldn'e go a miss :o

Aye right andy, i think everyone has learned that not one of us is 100% happy, we're always making wee changes here and there... I give it about 6months you'll have tinkered with it a bit :D

Well. As it happens......:o :o
Fitted a JCW Strut Brace tonight.:D Formerly on Deerslayer's car;).
But then Lenore decides she wants to drive home. So I've no idea how the handling changed. No more mods for now though. Well...... Until the JCW upgrade kit is available on the R56 S Auto - est 3 months away.;)

Mind and give the nuts a wee tighten after a few days of driving, it'll make a difference... not sure if theres one for underneath but when/if there is its a worthwhile investment. :p
I fitted upper and lower braces to mine, rock solid up front, stays dead centre to the road etc handles like f**k too :D :o
I'd be wary of the JCW "kit", best to let a good number get it first... Plus if its only exhaust or that wouldn't be worth it be better going aftermarket ;)

I'm not a great lover of Blue/Black either ,Blue /white would be my prefered choice as would Red /White , Its not my car ,or money ,therefore not my choice  ...(still, no taking away from the fact that the car looks stunning )

Sorry I'm a bit slow on the congrats - Looks really nice “in the metal” too, folks. I wasn't a big fan of the R56 at first, and still reckon the colour/spec can have a big effect on the looks, but it's grown on me. Still prefer the 'tighter lines' of the old S, but certainly would go for a new one now I've had a good look at the 'NMS Collection'. Bring on the 'Works' version.....
Only 'problem' is that my car's so damn good to drive now, I wouldn't swap it for anything this side of a 997 GT3!
Many, many happy miles Andy & Lenore.

Your new car looks great- I saw it parked up in Galashiels the other day!
How do you upload pics onto this site?? Argh!!
AndyP & Lenore
28th June 2007, 09:43 PM
Many thanks Elfman and Johnny.
Johnny, there's a few ways to include pics in a post. You can host them on a picture hosting site like Photobucket (http://www.photobucket.com) or FlickR (http://www.flikr.com). Then once they are hosted on those sites, you paste a link from your page on the hosting site into your post here. It links to those pics and they appear in your post.
I think you can also upload pics to this site also using the file upload facility at the time of posting, but to be honest, I haven't used that facility on here yet.
