friend moving to London for a year!!

Hey all,

A familly friend is going to be attending school in London for a year. She has alot of questions about living in the UK.....

1. Where can she go / contact to find a place to live??

2. What does she need to do about health care...are there plans avail.? Who should she contact??

3. Anything else you might reccomend.

Thanks all - she is very nervous but excited to be going to school there.

I live in London, more than happy to help!

Loads of places to get flats - have a look at www.findaproperty.co.uk for places to rent. However, area is all important, so she needs to work out what she wants from the area. Once you know the area, contact a local agent in that area (they are mostly listed in that website above).

Healthcare - she'll be able to take advantage of the great joys of the free NHS. Not sure how you need to set it up though.

I'll ping you a PM with my email address in it, you can pass it onto your friend and I'll try and help as much as I can.
