Guys - not going to name anyone in particular but can you have a think about the size of you signatures please. Some threads only have 3 or 4 posts to a page due to the hooge signatures.

Cheers:rolleyes:

Wull, I'll be changing mine when we pick up our R56 - later this week or next week.

Could you remind us all what the recommended size is.

And are you remembering that in the user control panel under "Options" you can set the Number Of Posts Per Page yourself. You can chose from "Forum default or 5, 10, 20, 30 or 40 posts per page".

Not sure what the forum default is set to. I have mine set to 20 and regardless of how many or what size the sig strips are I always get my 20 per page.

Or are you talking about only 3 posts appearing on your screen at once?

A.:D

I find the sig strips to big no matter how many posts per page.

I surf alot using my mobile it is a nightmare.

468 x 60 pixels is the absolute limit for sigs. Any larger than that will be removed...or hacked into little bits!

Most forums i use are 100x500 for signatures

Whats your new Nokia like for surfing? And do you use the proprietary surfing software? Or have you downloaded Opera Mini?

If anybody is unsure about the size of their Sig, the easiest way to find out how big it is..

..is to right click on the image in a thread you've posted in, then choose 'Properties' from the pop up menu that appears. Your image's Height and Width should be shown in the box that pops up..

But some people have multiple images making up their sig, so that would require you to click on each image and add up the sizes to get an overall size. Are we sure everyone on here knows how to add.   ;)

But surely if they know how to bung on multiple pics, they can count a wee bit... if they have enough fingers and toes.. :D

To be honest, it would be cool if we could have avatars. That way I'd use my current (soon to be replaced) sig image as my avatar (only it would be smaller) and a tiny wee sig strip image.;)

Any chance of avatars being switched on? Pretty please:o

avatars would definately tidy the site up. I've always thought the forum looked pretty cluttered and amatuerish with all the randomly sized sigs so i'd second the avatar idea.

There is nothing worse than posts that have less content than the users signature.

Avatars have been switched on since the forums were relaunched. Is there a problem with the system that's preventing folk from adding their own. I've just added one to my own CP without any problems.

There seems to be Calum, because in the "Edit Avatar" options page I can't uncheck the "Do not use an Avatar" radio button. if I click on it, it just stays checked.

I'll ask the question here toooo...

I've set my Avatar as a custom avatar, 'cos that's really the only options. Are there "site" avatars too? Like a list I can choose from? Or can we only use Custom ones?

A.

The maximum size of your custom image is 80 by 80 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller). http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h124/ab2pcs/clubbin.gifhttp://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h124/ab2pcs/clubbin.gif
