knocking sound when turning steering wheel

hey guys,
when i turn the steering wheel full then release it back to norm i hear a knock sound?
any help on what this is??

sounds like your steering column's goosed. Pretty common fault to be honest, I'm on my 3rd and my mum's on her 2nd.

Mines has knocked since brand new lol, still doing it although not as much! just over 2 years old now and 21k miles :D lol

I have a slight knock but only sometimes, it's been there since new and never really bothered me that much. My car has done just over 50,000 miles now and it's still the same. I'm assuming it's nothing dangerous.
