i have to agree there.....im working all around glasgow just now...from coatbridge, airdrie and motherwell...the minis ive seen and waved too.....but they never waved back :( (i must smell) :)

well i always flash other mini drivers if they flash me first... ;), i work in airdrie and live in bothwell so chances we could pass at somepoint niknax :p

I live just up the road from you in the broch and I agree, no one believes in waving or flashing up here! :eek:

No-one's flashed me yet!! Seen loads round about Falkirk, Stirling way, but no-one bothered yet. Only just got it, so not sure of New Mini Etiquette!! Used to have a few Smarties, and we all waved, but you never saw one, so nearly wet yourself when you did see one!! Wave and flash people!!!!!

You overtook me one night on the road from longside to Peterhead I have got the black Cooper works with sooper cooper on the bootlid

We have had 3 MINI’S now and at the start when BMW re-launched the car it was a big thing to wave and flash for a couple of years and the dealership made it clear in some brochures to flash but as the car became more popular and MINI dropped the flashing/waving theme from leaflets etc it has just faded away, I still flash and wave but lots of MINI drivers just haven’t a clue what the history was behind it and think you are pulling them up about something, too lots of people it's just a car to get them from A-B but I like you I think this is wrong and think these people should be rounded up and well lets leave it there.:)

Don't think that was me. I've only driven that road once before and I'm not ussually an overtaker.

That might have been some one else on here with reg AN03REW, depending on how long ago that was. (he wrote his mini off about a month ago)

so keep waving and Flashing i remember the brochure it was caaled the etiquette of driving a Mini I do the london to brighton run every year and this year is no exception the classic Mini owners are coming round to the new Mini a bit more now and have started waving back at us now.

i've noticed that the people with mildly modified minis and above wave more frequently. Perhaps the others just dont share the same levels of enthusiasm :(

No minis around my bit wave or flash at all and some are pretty modified, the drivers are just completely ignorant, they dont even look at other minis when passing like we would always look to see who it was etc

Claire - there's a wee classic mini livin in fallin too - recently replaced but as yet unsprayed a panel - he plash you? dinghied me earlier!! As did lady with big sunglasses in cream CS wi black bonnet stripes in Stirling earlier today - hope you never gave her it -ye54 or 55 i think. Accessory like a handbag or big sunglasses me thinks. Dont mean it in a bad way, but cheer up people!!

Well I'm in Falkirk never had any one wave. Had a smile off a woman in Laurieston once and another one at the end of the street when she let me through and i waved. Passed a guy today who i see regularly looking at it.

I'm on the motorway everyday to Glasgow as I work in the Lanarkshire area.

Yup and alot of them are savvies

I mean their Mini's are bog standard with the 15" holeys, orange side repeaters etc ... and they proceed to wear their 5" diameter channelle shades looking the muts

Most of them are hotties though:p
