I read that... but also read about mikeythemini's upgrade...so planning on getting that. Read some not to great reviews of the hi-fi upgrade..

all depends on what music you listen to... Old folks music is OK on the hi fi upgrade, but if you listen to "up-to-date" music then it is pants. Can't handle bass well at all.. all IMHO (currently waiting on new speakers...) :D

Well my wife will tell you my music taste is pants... but I like lots of stuff, hence looking at mikeythemini's upgrade, though driving to Liverpool is not ideal. Might also get a parrot Blue tooth phone thingy done at same time.

I think it stands for Guaranteed Auto Protection. There's a few different types; straight GAP, Return To Invoice, Vehicle Replacement Insurance etc. They all pretty much have the same purpose, which is to get you out of a negative equity problem with finance in the event of your car being stolen or written off in an accident, during the term of your finance agreement. Dealer's always encourage you to take it, not least because there's kick-backs for them in selling it, but as is clearly shown in this thread - IT'S WORTH IT. But don't take the dealer's first offer. There's a few non-dealer affiliated web based companies offering it too, and they are almost always cheaper - until you tell the dealer what you can get it for, then they often drop their price.;)

Went and done it...so now have a Mini ordered from Ian at Menzies :)

Just will be counting the hours / seconds down till I get it on a couple of accounts...

1. I want my mini !
2. Don't have a car just now and it is a real pain... :(

Just remember the GAP premium is negotiable ;)

You can get a quote from the RAC online, but Mini did a price match for me
