New shoes?

Got my new wheels this morning! Thanks again Williie for delivering them, it was darn good of you!

Now all I need is for it to stop raining for long enough to let me fit them!

I had a right struggle getting one of the old wheels off. It had welded itself to the hub and took loads of WD40 and half a dozen karate kicks to get off!:eek:

Told Willie lots of times i liked the khans. They look even better on the black Gaj. Still one of the best wheels for the Mini.IMO

Now obviously you've got much lower profile, and wider tyres than before. How did you find the ride when you went out for a drive?

I haven't driven far on them yet but first impressions are if anything the ride seems slightly smoother with less road noise than the 16" runflats. It's a different noise anyway, less intrusive. I hit a couple of wee bumps in the street and the car seemed to crash over them less than before, then I hit a bigger pothole and it still almost knocked my teeth out! I haven't been out for a proper run yet or experienced the tyres over a variety of surfaces but I'll keep you posted!

I'm probably going to go for a new set of wheels around March time, got my eyes on a couple of types but no final decision as of yet. Must admit I'm sorely tempted to go back to the RSS's again though when I see them on GAJ's car :approve:
