Scary thing is I passed my local dealer in Giffnock up here in Glasgow and there is Building works with temporary lights right in front of the dealer.

So I’m sitting thinking there is a nice few Mini’s and pissed at the dust being kicked up with the wind on my car but more Shocking was the guy in the dealership battering the Mini’s on display outside going from car to car with the same old dirty sponge and not ever rinsing off the dust before hand.

I felt like saying “Mate leave them be I’ll do it for free if you let me do it right”

All those nice cars getting scratched to hell……..

Please dealers stop this cruelty

That's bad but it's no as bad as the guy at the Audi garage here that I watched clean an RS8's wheels and then, without rinsing the sponge, moving straight onto the bonnet! Black motor too.

Obviously I don’t know the deal with dealers and who cleans them, but in my opinion it looked like a disinterested Mechanic sent out to wash the cars when there was some spare time.

You would think a company would get specialist in, ok expensive but worth it. At the very least make sure they are washed the right way even one at a time rather than 10 washed in half an hour……

I’d rather they left them dirty them kill the paint like this.

Ask them not to wash it. I tend to do that when mine is going to a dealer.

Shall call them 1st thing in the morning, might as well since I've been the customer from hell on 2 accounts today already!

I left a laminated card on the dash saying:

PLEASE DO NOT WASH THIS CAR!

Breathing privileges will be revoked.

Anon...

Did it work?

Guy was still hosing her down as I got in the car:D

I’d hate to take a new car in to the dealers with no swirls for it to come back swirl city and them thinking they have been nice washing it.

So that’s a valeter! Wow must be getting paid per car! I’d not go as far as Valeter, if you’d seen what I seen you would understand a guy with a hose and dirty sponge I’d call it.

Worst thing is the building work near by it kicking up heavy dust and they are not attempting to wash the car down They’d be better foaming them then hitting them with the jet wash and leaving be late afternoon. The guy I seen was at it in full brilliant sun.

There is a brilliant square automated washer that does not touch the car round the back a new five series was in it, surly not too much to ask for them to do a few minis out side.
