We're not! Just thought I'd post the info up for those who are interested. Besides, you still wouldn't be able to tow with a Cooper S, without an exhaust re-route.

We do tow though. Got a Bessacarr Cameo, and tow it with a BMW X5. Later this season, I'm towing up to Dundee just to clog up the roads around Low-n-Loud's house, just to pi$$ him off.;)

OH YES YOU CAN!!!!:D...and you don't need no exhaust reroute;)

Look here...I fancy it...

I have a pic on a hardrive somewhere of this hitch on a Yellow Cooper S with matching van. I will upload it when I find it

I was thinking about making a teardrop caravan for my S...I just sold my old caravan last week..:(

My Dad used to make caravans and showmans homes...and we have a design worked out...very light weight...very small too.

Like that US van with the kitchen in the back.

Think I will go at it....just to drive around Dundee to annoy Mr Low:D:D

OK...here's those pics of a Yellow S with matching Yellow Pod caravan.

The clever ones amongst you will notice very quickly something about this shade of yellow

OH NO YOU CANT!

At least, not leggaly. I had a wee look at that american site you mentioned Mark. Looks cool, but I wondered how they were getting bye the fact that the draw bar sits directly above the exhaust exit. They don't. It just cooks it!

I had a look at Witter Tow Bars (http://www.witter-towbars.co.uk/) range and they state that the MINI Cooper S: "Vehicle Not Homologated for Towing". Which basically means BMW have not tested the vehicle for towing with a tow bar system, and as such, no specification exists from MINI themselves. If they don't provide a specification, no one else can provide one as they would have to go through the homologation programme.

I think I'm right in the above, but would be happy to be proved wrong.
