Looks like the rear camber is wayyyyyyyyyyyy out:eek: Don,t know if the rear camber on the mini is adjustable via shims or not:blackeye: OR the rear wheels are trying very very hard to keep up with the fronts;) :p:D:approve:

Straight off the top of my head: Some sort of mis-alignment, as if it's 'toe-ing out', with the inside edge leading and scrubbing off? Or a Camber issue with too much negative camber so that the weight's leaning on the inside of the tyre - but you'd probably notice that. If it was over-inflated, it'd wear in the middle, under-inflated, it'd wear (you'd think) evenly at the sides. Is the suspension standard? Did you whack a pothole in the past? Whatever it is, it's going to munch the next tyre you put on, Pacman stylee methinks. Maybe an alignment type suspension check would be worthwhile to rule out the above - those runflats ain't cheap! Good luck with it.

How much is it going to cost or did it cost you to get that sorted out?

Think I'd better get my alignment checked pretty soon then before my tire ends up like yours did. It has a similar wear pattern to it although not quite as bad as yours got since it's on the outside and I noticed it.
Still at least you caught the problem now and didn't go through another run flat quicker then you otherwise would first.

I'm still going to get the mini garage to look at the back wheels as I've not since this one on a back wheel before :disapprove:
At least I'm not off to oxford this weekend to see if run flat really work :I:)

Do you need a new tyre just now? I'm not totally sure what the regs are but I thought it was >1.6mm over >3/4 of the tyre?
