Hiya

Had the Mini Cooper S for about 3 weeks now and love it!:D
However I have noticed the when the car is running there is a faint rattle that goes away when you press down on the clutch. Booked into BMW for about 3 weeks time but just wondering if anyone else has had this and will BMW fix it under warranty. Car is almost 3 years so want all faults fixed before warranty expires!

Not a mechanic, but that sounds like clutch release bearing... should be covered by the warranty, not really considered a "consumable".

Hope you get it sorted OK. ;)

My last car '05 Cooper' done this. I suspected a clutch release bearing as well. Took it to 2 dealers, one of which is closed now and they both said nothing was wrong. I am still conivinced though that it was a noisy bearing as noise went away with cluth pedal pressed down.
