picture competition??????????

I've only been hear a few days and don't know any one and don't want to piss people off, but the last few years at the gti 6 owners club and the fto owners club they run a photo competition over a period of months and the photo's get judged best 13 photo's get turned into a calander, which can either be downloaded and printer at home, or have them pro printed and bought.

just an idea.

sorry if its been already been thought of, or annoy's any one.

Good idea, we'd need voulnteers to do the judging etc, not sure if the site software can do anything, but, as long as there is a manky section even my pathetic pistures might have a chance :p

Not to start a PC versus Mac thing here...but iPhoto has a calendar designing template do da thing which outputs a very stylish pro looking result. Then you simply click order and its professionally printed up and sent out to you.

I'm sure some of the online photo sites could offer the same.

Nothing to start Macs are better! :D The Gadget show even proved the point. But yeah does sound like a good idea.

We could have a vote on the site, or I could get the picture editor at my work to judge.

if people are happy about the rules i don't mind running the thing. If nobody else wants to. (don't want to step on any bodys toes seen i've only been around a few days) I'll put up an email address i've got spare and in sept, we'll post a gallery for judgeing. The rules state it's open to members cars so any type of car can enter.

any way on a more serious note i usally send a few letters to car dealers, part company etc, begging for stuff as prizes in return we mention them in the calendar. But i didn't want people to know this if no company's are willing to give stuff away.
