Average MPG

Anyone tell me what there average MPG is for there R56 Petrol Cooper and how many miles they get too there tank still undecided on going diesel or Petrol.

I was getting about 38 when doing short runs. Then Edi - Glasgow on motorway during rush hour about 43. Last tank on 95 RON fuel doing the same runs it went up to 45mpg. These figures are better by quite a bit than I got in my 2002 ONE and they should get better as I only have 1800 miles on it.

I do not believe MINIs figures to be honest. 48 combined and 60 extra urban look like unachievable figures.

I got 35 for my first 1000 miles in my r56 MCS

I just got 48 on a 500 mile round trip in my MC, average speed 55 mph. Car has done 1300 miles. Up until I hit the 1000 mile mark it was in the low 40's.

Now at 2.5k miles I am showing 43mpg over the last 500 or so. Probably about 3/4 on the motorway.

Pretty good really but still quite a bit short of the "claimed" figures.
