I only live 30 miles over the border into england so i didn't think people would mind if I joined the fourm. For the last 4 years i've owned a GTi-6 the car was 7 years old and was starting to rattle and sqeak, things started to go wrong so i thought new motor took 3 x audi tt's out, 1 x golf r32, 1 x golf gti, 1 x honda CTR then took the mini out and was blown away, when you get to 3,000 rpm and the super charger starts to whistle, wow i had to have it. Took an 07 out didn't like the turbo, prefered the super charged engine. So i got one, i now own a 56 plate cooper s in dark blue (hyper). I live in the middel of the lake district about 15 mins from keswick, so i get to have fun on the back roads all the time.

Nice one, welcome to the site, i was due for a mini change too and just didn't like the look of the R56, never mind what it was like to drive, in any case, i changed to the very last of the S's before the R56 release date ;)
There are some who wished they hadn't bought an R56 too :p8)

Welcome, I know the lakes well as I used to spend most of my weekends there. Surprised you can even get the MINI up to 3k rpm, last time I was there I barely got above 30mph what with all the coffin dodgers gawping at the secenery when there supposed to be driving.

I live further down the coast in a small village between whitehaven/workington and cockermouth. Wasn't sure if people knew the area its easier to reference everything from keswick or carlisle as people know where they are.

It does, very similar to Old Peculiar in that sense.
