If you were buying the new JCW 18" wheels would you get the lock limiter fitted and a full KDS.??
I have generally always got it done but I wonder do I really need to?
What would you do.???
the wheels I am thinking about are the new
R109 John Cooper Works Double-Spoke Alloy Wheel
in burnished finish with black inserts
7J x 18
205/40R-18 Performance run-flat tire
Model Year 2007
Optional on all models

I don't see the need to get a KDS gone.
If the lock limiter is required to prevent the wheels catching the bodywork, then yes, I would get them.

I wouldnt think a KDS is needed as the suspension hasnt been touched. Simply a new wheel with the lock spacer thing placed over the hub.

These are wheels i have and i love them, they really suit the MINI.
If you are worried about catching then don't!!!! My car is lowered 50mm on coilovers with these wheels and have no problems whatsoever with turn or rubbing.

The polished front with black inserts.... They really stand out especially with the sort of polished lip round the eddge. Just watch them though, mine were already on the car before i bought it and the last owner had caught one of them on a kerb which cannot be repaired because of the surfac of the wheel.
Other than that go for them!!!

If they fit the limiter kit they do. Mine wasn't KDS'd, and my first set of front tyres (when I was runing the car in) lasted 3000 miles. Loads of toe out.

I would get the KDS done Fiona, and lock limtier fitted.
If you done get the KDS done then theres a good chance your tyres will wear out very quick. . .Its part of the fitting instuctions by MINI.
