Well since the site came back up tonight it fails to put up the post for Mini Meats 9 so I have to do it all again and if it looses it again then bu**er it:eek:. All people who posted that they want to go will need to put there names down again as I was away with work when people were posting .

As before Mini Meats was set up for getting together during the winter months but had progressed to a monthly meet, there is no run but plenty chat and some nice food and a chance to see any nice add on's that may have been done to your cars.
Meet at 7pm for food at 7:30pm on Friday the 9th of Feb (yes I know it doesnt give us much chance to get names down but it wasnt my fault the server came from Spudnik);).
Venue= Brewers Fayre South Queensferry, details below

Andy my word for today is Shafted and don't get me started on my current employer.:(:(

If I didn't accept to be Tupe over to the new company which I did't (couldn't go and work for them I just couldn't take a step back and work with some people I worked with in the past.

so effectively it means I have chosen to leave. My boss in Milton Keynes stabbed me in the back. I am so angry.:disapprove: All I have heard for the last 6 years is don't worry Fiona you will be made redundant and when your talking over 60K it's alot to loose. Shafted simple as that.

Fiona, really sorry to hear that. Nothing worse than being stabbed in the back like that.:(:(

One thing which screams at me is: LEGAL ADVICE! LEGAL ADVICE! Speak to a friendly employment lawyer, CAB or even ACAS. You must have some rights. They can't force you to sign a contract you don't agree with.;)

Suggest the rest of the conversation should maybe by email, as I don't want to hijack Jason's thread. BUT! Can you PM me your email. Not sure you will still have your work email or not, taking into account the circumstances.

Cheers.

Jason - sorry I can't make this MEAT, I have a previous appointment with 2 chums, 2 God-Daughters, 2 Cats, a real Coal Fire and “...the Finest wines available to humanity”. Kudos to who can name the film that line's from. (Those who own Cinemas are exempt...)

Serious bit. Fiona - That's a really sh***y betrayal of trust! Hangin's too good for that sort. Let's drag 'em behind a few MINIS... Hope you get something sorted out soon - woman of your talents (even if your taste in MINIS isn't quite as good as mine). Fingers crossed 4 U.

Knew I was down on here from before but have just been too busy to think about it till now. Only 6 weeks and 2 days to go.

Still not sure if I'm going to make this, can't see why not but you never know when something will come up last minute.

It's Joanna who might be with me but I've still to check with her first. She's working on Friday and I'm not sure how long it would take her to get here after work to know if she can make it.

Still at least you remembered I was on the list to begin with.:D

Just home.:( More on that later. But for now, many thanks to Jason for organising another great night. We had an absolute blast.:D:D And it was good to have a venue closer to home for a change.;) Good to see some new faces at the "Meats", James F and Mark R - good to see you. Many thanks to Chris and Scott for the freebiegoodies.;);)

JamesF, you're a good sport. It was an extremely entertaining evening, even if at times it was for the wrong reasons. I still can't believe you've packed so much into your life in such a short time. In 50 years time, you're gonna have some amazing stories to tell the grand-kids.:D

Well, well, well. In direct payback for bitching about the way the English deal with 3cm snow, we hit some pretty sh!tty weather on the way down the A7. Just south of Newtongrange when the altitude goes up ever so slightly we hit driving snow which was lying. It was pretty slushy underfoot, but had to keep the speeds down just in case. Then just outside Heriot we joined a small queue of cars stationery because of a jack-knifed artic at the entrance to Heriot. No way through. So in blizzard conditions, and snow building up on the (no longer being used) road, we about turned and headed across country to the A68 and headed up Soutra Hill. Not the most fun I've ever had, and Soutra was really awful - down to 10 mph to be safe - but we got home just a few minutes ago, safe and sound.

Impressed with the way the MINI handled the snow, considering it has 17" runflats with an auto tranny, and ASC only kicked in a half-dozen times. Not convinced our X5 would have handled it much better - although it weighs twenty tonne, it has 20" rims and the rear tires are 13" across.:eek: Suspect it will be a bit like driving with a couple of Rossignol Ski's strapped to the rear of the car.

Ho, hum..... Said Pooh in a humble voice.:D

A.:D:D
