Got a problem car was in need of new tyres and when it went in I was advised a track rod end was needed on the drivers side. Jacked it when I got home and there is a big wobble comin off the wheel my next question is will this be covered under warranty or has anyone else experienced this.

It should be covered under warranty if the car is <3 years old. If you have aftermarket wheels, they may (but hopefully not) refuse warranty due to them.

My wife had the same on her 52 plate Mini One, It wasn't covered under the warranty as it was classed as general wear. Cheap and easy part to change, even managed it myself.
Mark the position of the T.R.E. on the steering rack before you take it off, so you don't have to have the tracking done after you fit the new one.
