as the title states, my new motor finally arrived at Menzies today (just before lunch). Had to pop down just to make sure it was true... and checked the chassis no. just to make sure..;)

if all goes to plan I should get it next Sat (as long as there is no DVLA delay)...:approve:

well he has come down the road in his Mini to get the seats fitted but forgot to bring his socket set to fit the strut brace I got him for Christmas.

So if it was ok with you could we pop over sometime after getting the seats fitted so he can fit his strut brace.

if ok will text you tomorrow to see what time will be ok.

I saw it in the workshop this afternoon when I picked up my car (saw the number plate but couldn't see what graphics you had), but have had to book it in again on Friday as the external temperature sensor has gone! :eek:

What I have noticed most of all is how much smoother the car is to drive... clutch is much smoother and less "snatchy", gearchange is like silk and the ride is much more comfortable (Vidal - even you wouldn't get a sore back in this motor...!) All in all, I'm made up! :approve::approve::approve:

I am VERY disappointed in the stereo system:disapprove::disapprove:, I like you Ken had listened to all that was said by those who had heard it, however is DEFINATELY not as good as the HK. I NEVER had distortion on my speakers regardless of how loud I turned the volume up... If I turn it up anywhere near loud I get distortion and loose clarity.. The HK was streets ahead of this system..

I have tried various CD's and it seem worse with heavy bass or a bass beat.. (Like in Dance CD's etc..)

If I had my choice again, I would be going for Mikeythemini's £500 speaker and amp upgrade that he is doing, think it would work out better...

You have to take the time and set it up correctly.

also will depend on what music you listen to DANCE (Craig);) with all that boom boom noise.;) is a no no.

I will tell you what it does much better than the HK Kenl. It seperates the music out much much better and the mid range is good. Ok maybe not as good if your spending 2k - 3k on aftermarket stuff.
