Fi,
Got them from Autobulbs Direct (http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk).
Had them installed by Monro Auto Electrics in Galashiels - Top company.:D
Worth it? For the X5, absolutely. It changed the car from lethal to enjoyable. Honestly, at night the non-xenon X5's lights are absolutely terrible. So fitting the HID kit was the only financially realistic way of getting decent headlights.
After a few months we had a couple of scary instances where the head lights would just go off, for no apparent reason. So I called Autobulbs Direct and they sent me a fixing kit which was basically just an in-line capacitor, to fool the system into thinking there wasn't a problem and stop the car's computer shutting power off to the lights. It sounds more complicated than it was, but just be aware, some cars need this extra wee bit of kit. Cost another £15.
If you need any more info, you know where I am.
What car are you thinking of them for?
