Replacement Mirror Caps

Due to living in the city and having to regularly squeeze Charlie (my MINI) down a very narrow lane, both his white mirror caps are scratched. How easy are these to replace? Would I manage myself? Are they available as a part separately from the mirror unit itself?

They just clip on I believe. I think you can buy them seperately.

Lightbody - they are easy to take off/replace - they un clip from the bottom nearest to the window and unclip around to the top - i broke a couple of clips on my black ones when i swapped them for the chrome ones on just now but still a few left to hold them on no probs - your dealer should be able to get you new ones - or give your current ones to a bodyshop to be repainted as i'm guessing this will need done again (probably)and will be a lot cheaper :I
