ok ive got the old style halogens on my coop and the adjust has totaly stopped working is there a fix short of replacing the headlights ?? or is it easy diy or is this likely to cost ??

think it used to be a known problem with the headlamps.. is it still under warranty...:question::D

Yeah.. I had one go.. it was a warranty fix..
then both decided to play up after that..

Thankfully still under warranty :blackeye:

You might be lucky since it's a fairly widely known problem.. :(

been out of warranty for 6 months now :(might see if i can find some on ebay beacus ei think the units are a direct swap

My headlight adjuster thing stopped working this week as well.
I kno this sounds stupid but.....
Got them working again by just opening the bonnet and then slamming it shut a couple of times! Read about this on MINI2.COM
Weird.......

I had this problem with my 51 plate cooper. What i did was when headlamp adjust was working line the car against a wall then mark where the headlamps line up on wall. Then set adjustment to lowest position then use the adjustment screws on the headlamp to setup where was at 0 position. Thats what i did and left the switch in position 0 all the time and never had any problems.
